| A fun filled and action packed half day, week long summer Christian Camp for all youth going into grade one through to and including going into grade six. Approximately 30 volunteers (many of whom are professional teachers) join together with a passion to share God's love with the younger youth in our community. It's a very lively camp; all children gather in the sanctuary in the morning to hear up beat music and watch a skit usually performed by the older youth in our church community. Afterwards, the children go to one of five sites, each decorated according to a biblical theme (e.g.s. love, serve, accept, forgive). At each site, the children are welcomed by two adult teachers as well as senior youth volunteers. The children have the opportunity to make various creative crafts, join in lots of activities and participate in "God Talks". Snacks are provided each day, on the last day we will be hosting a wrap-up BBQ for campers and their families. It is a joy to see the youth who participate singing the new Christian tunes they learned that day and proudly carrying home their personal crafts - hopefully a reminder of how much God loves them. |

| A full day, week-long soccer/baseball summer camp for youth ages 6 to 13 years with a focus on sharing the message of God's love with athletes, coaches and "fans". Athletes In Action is committed to going into the world and sharing the truth of victory beyond competition - a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. All participants begin the morning with prayer and then they jump right into their morning schedules of baseball or soccer. Before lunch, senior youth leaders and adult volunteers share God's love through performing skits based on biblical truths and sharing their own personal stories about their faith journeys. Though children bring their own lunch each day, juice boxes and freezies are provided as well as a BBQ on the last day of camp sponsored by our local M & M Meats Shop. In the afternoon they are back again to their sport's activity and the day closes with prayer and reflection about the day's events. Last summer an additional fun filled activity was enjoyed by all (adult leaders too!!) when two local volunteer firemen brought their "full" fire truck to provide a hosed slippery slide for the youth!! Parents are encouraged to come out to watch their child/ren play on the last afternoon and join in the BBQ and closing ceremonies where each child is presented with a certificate. This is truly an awesome camp that God has provided for the youth in our community. |
