Community Outreach Activities
Quiltz 4 Kidz: We continue to support refugee children and other needy children in Ottawa by making and providing fleece blankets. Join us fridays 10am - 12noon to help tie quilts. Recently one family made six quilts which were donated to Mattew House.
Christmas Hampers: With help of deliveries of food from St. Marks High School and several other groups, MUC supply hampers to needy families before Christmas.
Food Cuboard: All four churches in Manotick have worked together to form a central food cuboard at St. Leonard's Church. The other local churches will store some food as a backup for this central cuboard. This serves needy families in the Manotick area who are not able to use the Ottawa Food bank.

Matthew House (for refugees): at 382 Centrepointe is now open. On January 16, 2010, MUC presented Matthew House with the first fleece quilt. MUC is also collecting furniture and small household goods for refugees. Contact the church if you have something to donate that is in good condition. If you want to find out more or make a donation you can contact Matthew House.
